With many people either staying temporarily in an Airbnb, or with future plans to do so, we thought it'd be an opportune time to summarise the company's response to coronavirus
Reservations (& experiences) booked on and before 14th March, with a check-in date before 14th March - 14th April, may be cancelled without any deductions. Hosts can also cancel without any impact on their superhost status.
Reservations (& experiences) with a check-in date after the 14th April do not apply to this exception ^ - unless the host contracts COVID-19. Otherwise, the host's usual cancellation policy applies.
Reservations (& experiences) made after the 14th March are not covered by Airbnb & the usual cancellation policy applies (unless host / guest contracts COVID-19).
It's pretty straightforward tbh; reservations that are covered will be marked as such. You just cancel the covered reservation & receive a full refund (including Airbnb's service fee).If your reservation isn't covered, the host's cancellation policy will apply.
